Ten Professors Awarded “2019 Academic Award of College of Engineering”
To encourage professors to pursue their academic achievements for the excellence in research, College of Engineering has set up “Academic Award of College of Engineering” (學術勵進獎) starting from 2019. The award ceremony was held on July 15th, 2020 at College of Engineering.
There are 10 award recipients including Prof. Christina W. Tsai (蔡宛珊) and Prof. Kuo-Hsin Yang (楊國鑫) of Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Jia-Yang Juang (莊嘉揚) and Prof. Fu-Cheng Wang (王富正) of Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Jeffrey D. Ward (吳哲夫) and Prof. Cheng-Che (Jerry) Hsu (徐振哲) of Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Hsuen-Li Chen (陳學禮) of Materials Science and Engineering Department, Prof. Tung-Wu Lu (呂東武) of Graduate Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Prof. Chia-Hung Hou (侯嘉洪) of Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering, and Prof. Yi-Ju Chou (周逸儒) of Graduate Institute of Applied Mechanics.
Each award recipients are rewarded with the prize of 150,000 NTD and a reward medal. The awards were presented by Dean Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章) and award sponsors, Chairman Ho-Ching Huang (黃河清) from Chanda Chemical Corporation (詮達化學股份有限公司), Chairman Li-Yeh Huang (黃黎月) from Consortium Qinglang Cultural Arts Foundation (慶琅文化藝術基金會), and Chairman Feng-Wen Yen (顏豐文) from Luminescence Technology Corp. (機光科技股份有限公司) to encourage the awarded professors for their outstanding achievement on academic research and industry-university cooperation.
