Dual Degree Program Cooperation between College of Engineering, NTU and College of Engineering, ITB

After the “2018 Bilateral Workshop between NTU and ITB” held in May, 2018, Institut Teknologi Bandung visited College of Engineering, NTU again on Oct. 3rd, 2019 to discuss the cooperation of department level dual degree program.
ITB visiting team was led by Dr. Irsan Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Associate Dean of International Affairs, ITB with totally 13 professors including deans of Civil Engineering, Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, and Management Department. Dean Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章) of College of Engineering and Professor Hung-Wei (Homer) Yen (顏鴻威), Executive Director for International Affairs initiated the discussion about the cooperation of department level dual degree program with ITB representatives at the College of Engineering on Oct. 3rd. Further discussion about the agreement details and signing date were discussed by the representatives from the department of Civil Engineering, Engineering Science and Ocean, and Environmental Engineering.
CoE of Institut Teknologi Bandung is one of the best colleges of Engineering in Indonesia. Being the member of AOTULE (The Asia-Oceania Top University League on Engineering), ITB has close relationship with CoE, NTU. Starting from 2007 when both sides signed the cooperation MOU, many departments from NTU CoE have signed the exchange student agreements or cooperation MOU with ITB, and stepped forward to the copperation of department level dual degree program this year (2019). Through the coperation between both colleges, it is expected to attract more students from ITB to NTU for the pursuit of degree and to enhance the research energy and influence of both colleges.
