College of Engineering Hosts NTU's 24th Cross-disciplinary Conference

College of Engineering hosted NTU’s 24th Cross-disciplinary Conference at Shin-Yi Lecture Hall, Tseng Jiang Building on June 13th , 2019. More than 90 professors including NTU President Chung-Ming Kuan (管中閔), Minister Liang-Gee Chen (陳良基), Executive Vice President Ching-Hua Lo (羅清華), Executive Vice President Ming-Syan Chen (陳銘憲), Executive Vice President Chia-Pei Chou (周家蓓), Vice President for Research and Development Pai-Chi Li (李百祺), Vice President for Academic Affairs Shih-Torng Ding (丁詩同), Deans of Colleges (including NTU Hospital), and Dean Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章), College of Engineering, National Taiwan University attended the conference.

Being the host of the conference, Associate Dean C. Robert Kao (高振宏), College of Engineering introduced the four key presentations of the conference: “Biomimetic Self-healing Materials” by Director Shan-Hui Hsu (徐善慧), Graduate Institute of Polymer Science and Technology, “From Materials to Clinical Experience” by Professor Tai-Horng Young (楊台鴻), Department of Biomedical Engineering, “A Journey of Bio-inspired Robotics Research” by Associate Chairman Pei-Chun Lin (林沛群), Department of Mechanical Engineering, and “Green Materials Development” by Dean Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章), College of Engineering.

After the fruitful research achievement sharing and enthusiastic interaction between attendees, all the participated professors took a group photo at Shin-Yi Lecture Hall and enjoyed the dinner at Tseng Jiang Building to continue the lively academic discussions, hoping to create more opportunities in cross-disciplinary cooperation and to produce more outstanding research results.
