English courses offered by other colleges can also be found from the NTU Course Information: https://nol.ntu.edu.tw/nol/guest/index.php

Language Courses

No language programs are offered before the semester starts.

However, all NTU exchange students are eligible to take a NTU General Chinese Course during their study at NTU, which is a regular academic course with credits. Students are assigned to an appropriate level after a placement test. Details can be found at http://www.oia.ntu.edu.tw/study-at-ntu/why-study-at-ntu/learning-chinese

Areas of study available for exchange students

All exchange students can take courses offered by departments/institutes outside of their majors. NTU Online Course Information can be found at https://nol.ntu.edu.tw/nol/guest/index.php .

The following courses are not open to exchange students:

Visa

What kind of visa do the students need to obtain?

Before students enter Taiwan, they should apply for a Resident or Visitor Visa from the Taiwanese Embassy or Mission in their residence country with letters of acceptance (Chinese version only) from NTU. Look up Embassies and Missions closest to them.

Please note that if students fail to obtain visa issued from Taiwanese Embassies or being rejected, the exchange student identity will also be canceled.

If students are Mainland China Passport holders, they will have to apply for an Entry Permit (入臺證) through the assistance of NTU.
