The winners of the Ta-You
Wu Memorial Award of National Science Council: Prof.
Yao-Joe Joseph Yang, the Dept. Mechanical Eng.; Prof.
Sheng D. Chao, the Institute of Applied Mechanics; and
Prof. Ching-I Huang, the Institute of Polymer Sci. and
Eng. This award is provided by the National Science
Council and founded in 2001. Each year NSC will select
about 35 excellent scientists who are under 40 years
old, and the winners will be rewarded 500,000 NT dollars
each to execute their project in the following 3 years.
