Congratulations to Prof. Huan J. Keh, Dean of Engineering College, NTU, who has recently received a great honor on winning the Academic Award in Engineering and Applied Science field from the Ministry of Education. The Academic Award is granted to the persons who have actively engaged in academic research in the country, have made important contributions or achieved great accomplishments and have been recognized by the academia. The Academic Award is granted annually with the total number no more than 13 each year. There are 5 sections divided based on different academic fields, namely ˇ§Liberal Artsˇ¨, ˇ§Social Scienceˇ¨, ˇ§Mathematics and Natural Scienceˇ¨, ˇ§Biology and Medical and Agricultural Scienceˇ¨ ,ˇ¨Engineering and Applied Science.ˇ¨ Professor Keh is selected as the winner in the field of Engineering and Applied Science for his excellent performance on Colloid and Interface Science, Electrokinetics, and Microhydrodynamics.

The Academic Award is founded in 1962 and the list of the 52nd Academic Award winners is issued on Sept. 3. There are 79 applicants this year, only 12 winners are on the final list through the most rigorous selection in a blooming of numerous outstanding scholars. The Ministry of Education is going to hold the 52nd Academic Award Ceremony at the end of this year, which aims to promote the spirit of the academic award.
